FOCAS CARBON FINANCING

FOCAS utilizes a Multiple Sequestration Approach (MSA) to implement self-sustaining carbon financing initiatives to benefit both the environment and local communities. While our primary focus is REDD+, our work includes Payment for Ecosystem Services (PES) initiatives including, but not limited to, Peatland restoration and teal carbon enhancement, sustainable grazing and fire management, clean energy, and climate-smart agriculture. FOCAS specializes in assessing and designing projects that align with multiple standards, including the Verified Carbon Standards (VCS) and the Climate Community and Biodiversity (CCB) standards. The VCS and CCB standards guarantee that each project is developed according to best practice, is independently audited and is endorsed by relevant local communities and government agencies. With VCS and CCB standards, our monitoring and evaluation processes are standardized.
